Herculean tasks resulted in the previous post as Shango was tasked by Obatala his father. The story of him being recognised as king is woven through the narratives of several Ifa Odun signs including Obara meji.
In Ogbe Oyekun he is returning from the mountain dressed in rags with a dog around his shoulders that had been injured. He had been exiled in some versions as a king apon his return the townspeople jeered and did not recognise this beggar. A humble peasent woman some say farmer or charcoal vendor saw him and fell into the dirt to salute him and he rewarded her with Black Gold.
The story adages humility and treatment of those deemed lesser by society. Babaluaye is disguised often as transient elder or beggar as is Legba St Lazarus. Don't offend the witch or may be a test. Even Obatala doesn't like making fun of those with disabilities.
Who was the woman some say a spiritualist who in suffering could clearly sse. Some say It's It's an adept of or Orisha Oya faithful wife seeing through illusion. Some say Oshun as it's in found Oshe Tura etc and she who holds the crown.
